Placement Report 2012-13

The institute is continuously trying to develop & shape up the students by keeping them on right track of their career road map. Simultaneously the institute is trying to bridge the gap between Industry expectations & students skills.  Unique & required initiatives we have taken& it has been supported by all staff, management & students. The institute appreciates student’s interest in learning new things & management support in creating the budding managers.

Nov’ 2012 – FORMAL COUNSELING –Started personal interaction (Formal Counseling) with    MMS  & MCA individual students, to evaluate their understanding level, communication skills, confidence level.  Proper guidance given to the students to prepare their career plan/goal what they want to achieve/want from their own life, guided them to design the road map to achieve their goal.

Feb’ 2013 Arranged Aptitude Test series cd’s & Job Interview Question Series books India & US edition for MCA students. It has been distributed to the students team through Library.

20th to 22ndJun’ 2013 1st IT JOB FAIR

First IT Job fair successfully conducted of 15 companies for MCA 2010- 2013 batch in association with SEED InfoTech. It was inaugurated by TECH MAHINDRA Zonal Head Mr. Ravi Soni.

29th Jul’ 2013OUT BOUND TRAINING” Orientation program of MMS 2013-2015 Batch

We initiated new out bound training program from Jul’ 2013 for new batch to understand the students skills, their understanding level, coordination, team management, time management, building confidence & management skills.

Students have been taken to the KeshavShrushti in Bhyander for out bound training, the sufficient time & space has been given to the students to show their talent by conducting out bound below listed  activities.

  • Blind shape game- (group activity)
  • Smart Act- Papad Roasting

Students have shown their full support by performing all activities & won the prizes for their own talent.  Whole day students were under observation which will help institute to groom them faster in their course duration.

New initiative has been taken to become a leading Management and Technical Institute for creating budding Managers & bridge the gap between the syllabus &Industry expectations.

Sep’ 2013 – “EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS SPECIALIZED PROGRAMME’’ TRAINING MODULE DESIGNED.

After evaluating student’s level, we have designed training module to improve an employability skills for MCA & MMS students, trainer arranged from Let’s Talk Institute.It helped students to clear their HR round.  MCA student,ShrutikaPedhnekar who has joined ATOS Pune shared her experience that the same level training program was delivered by their German trainer & he has appreciated her. It’s receipt of her good work. We feel proud for our students those keep on learning what we are delivering.

Oct’ 2013“LIVE PROJECT TRAINING” – MICROSOFT PARTNER

.Net & Android live project development training started for 10 students byAlfafin Soft, Microsoft Associates, Mr. SantoshKhanolkar. Students have completed the project as per the requirement & 8 students got the final placements based on their performance. Team leader Ms. ShrutikaTawade had successfully handled the project & team.

Feb’ 2014 APTITUDE TRAINING WORKSHOP arranged from IVM for MMS & MCA students. This training helped students to clear the first round of an interview.

Placement Report – 2014-2015

The activities of the placement cell during the year 2014-15 include collecting the record of the students and compiling them for use when needed.  The cell is focused on arranging various training and development programmes, seminars and activities for the students to groom them for the smooth transition from classroom to corporate.  The Placement Cell provides information to the students on job queries and placements in different organizations.

The placement cell had arranged a session in collaboration with Industry experts like Mrs. Himali M., Mr. Surendra Tanna, Mrs.Jaymala Joshi, Dr. Ashok Deshpande, Mr. Nitin Shinde, Mr. Shyamkant Surve to make students aware of various career opportunities available for individual specializations. The placement cell had arranged a session on “Resume Writing and Mock Interviews” in association with Sparrow sprout in college campus in the month of February 2017. In this session students got insights on art of resume writing and also got a first hand experience of facing an interview panel. This session went on for 3 days 15th, 16th and 18th February 2016.

The future plans of the placement cell include arranging session for the MMS semester III students to clarify their doubts with respect to selecting a specific function in their specialization. Also the placement cell plans to arrange guest lectures from learned individuals from different walks of life for the holistic development of students.

Placement Report – 2017-2018

The activities of the placement cell during the year 2017-18 include collecting the record of the students and compiling them for use when needed.  The cell is focused on arranging various training and development programmes, seminars and activities for the students to groom them for the smooth transition from classroom to corporate.  The Placement Cell provides information to the students on job queries and placements in different organizations.

A session on Best Foot Forward dealing with  Professionalism, Grooming and Etiquetten was arranged by the placement cell to focus on students image inside out. Best Foot Forward is an session focusing on Classroom to Corporate transition of both MMS and MCA students of DES’s NMITD. This session is a preplacement training and development initiative covering the major aspect of art and science of first impression, professionalism, grooming, clothing and etiquette. The main objective of this session is to cover the ABCD of Image – Appearance, Behavior, Communication and Digital Presence. This session is conducted by Ms. Asmita Neve Pawar (Image consultant, Soft skills trainer and NLP Practitioner) and Dr. Kasturi Rohit Naik (NLP Practitioner, Emotional Intelligence Practitioner, Mind mapping Practitioner, Reiki Practitioner and Full time faculty at DES’s NMITD).

 

Placement cell also initiated Psychometric Assessment and Career Counseling session for MMS Semester III students. The session is undertaken by Dr. Mahendra Gupta, Dr. Ela Goyal, a psychologist expert and specialization expert. It comprises of presentation on Careers in Management and Need for Psychometric Analysis on day one followed by Online Psychometric Assessment Test of individual students. This is followed by individual career counseling for all specializations for clarity with respect to online psychometric assessment test and different career options in particular specializations.
