💡 Mini Project Competition 2025

Empowering Innovation and Practical Learning at DES’s NMITD

On 30th April 2025, the Department of Masters of Computer Applications (MCA) at Navinchandra Mehta Institute of Technology and Development (NMITD) organized a vibrant Mini Project Competition for Semester II MCA students, held in Computer Lab – 1.

The competition commenced at 10:00 AM and served as a dynamic platform for budding technologists to present their innovative ideas and showcase practical applications of their classroom learning.

Event Overview

The competition was initiated and hosted by Dr. Sulakshana Vispute, HoD, MCA, under the guidance of Incharge Director, Dr. Rasika Mallya. A total of 14 student teams, each comprising 1 to 3 members, enthusiastically participated in the event. Project domains included:

• Web Development
• Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
• Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  …and more.

Each team was allotted time to present their project and answer queries posed by the judge, allowing them to engage in technical dialogue and gain valuable feedback.

🏅 Judge & Evaluation

The event was evaluated by Mr. Nishant Jadhav, Manager at Aditya Birla Capital, who brought his industry expertise to the judging process. Projects were assessed based on:

• Innovation & Creativity
• Technical Execution
• Presentation Clarity
• Real-world Applicability

The event concluded with a brief feedback session by Mr. Jadhav and the distribution of certificates and prizes to the top-performing teams.
