Mr. Pritam N. Warke is an accomplished academician with over 18 years of teaching experience in the fields of Computer Science and Information Technology. He has been serving as an Assistant Professor at DES’s Navinchandra Mehta Institute of Technology & Development (NMITD), Mumbai, since 2009, contributing significantly to undergraduate and postgraduate education.
He holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA), a Master of Science in Information Technology (M.Sc. IT), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering.
Mr. Warke specializes in teaching Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science (MFCS), Probability and Statistics, Operations Research, Research Methodology, and various Computer Science and Information Technology subjects. His areas of interest include Image Processing, Programming, and Emerging Computing Technologies. He is committed to fostering analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and research aptitude among students through innovative teaching and effective project guidance.
He serves as the Convener of the Syllabus Setting Committee for the MCA Programme at the University of Mumbai for subjects including Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science (MFCS), Operations Research, Discrete Mathematics, and Research Methodology, contributing to curriculum development in alignment with evolving industry and academic requirements.
An active researcher, Mr. Warke has authored more than 10+ research papers published and presented in international journals, including UGC-CARE and UGC-recognized journals. His research interests primarily focus on Image Processing and related areas of Computer Science.
Recognizing his academic expertise and commitment to quality in higher education, the University of Mumbai has appointed him as a University Squad Member for the academic year 2025–2026. He has also been entrusted with the responsibility of CAP Coordinator for the MCA University Examinations, where he oversees the Central Assessment Process and contributes to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the examination system.
He is also a co-inventor of a registered industrial design titled Portable Automatic Certificate Generating Machine, which has been officially registered under Class 18-02 under the provisions of the Designs Act, 2000 and Designs Rules, 2001. The registration certifies the novelty and originality of the design application for the said machine, contributing to innovation in automated certificate generation systems.
In addition to teaching and research, Mr. Warke actively participates in curriculum development, student mentoring, examination and evaluation, academic administration, and professional development activities. He remains dedicated to creating a learner-centric environment that nurtures technical excellence, ethical values, and lifelong learning.
