Guest Session on AI Agents for Business Functions

Where Learning Meets the Future of AI!

DES’s Navinchandra Mehta Institute of Technology & Development (NMITD), through its IQAC and E-Cell, in association with BRAIN – Bharat Research in AI and NextGen, successfully organised an insightful guest session on “AI Agents for Business Functions” for the MCA and MMS students.

The session was held on 31st August 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Venue 0.8 Auditorium, DES’s NMITD Campus, Mumbai.

The session featured Mr. Ashish Shetty, AI & Data Analytics Trainer and Consultant – Learning and Development, as the resource person.

The programme was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Seema Purohit, Vice President (Academics), BRAIN, in the gracious presence of Mr. M. B. Kekre, Council Member, DES, and Dr. Rasika Mallya, I/C Director, NMITD & Life Member, DES.

The session provided students with valuable insights into the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence and AI Agents, with a focus on their applications across various business functions. Students gained an understanding of how AI-driven technologies can enhance business processes, decision-making, productivity, and innovation.

The session also encouraged students to strengthen their AI skills, explore emerging technologies, and embrace innovative platforms and opportunities to transform ideas into impactful solutions.
