Guest Session on Campus to Corporate: Building Employability and Leadership Skills

DES’s Navinchandra Mehta Institute of Technology & Development (NMITD) organized an insightful guest session for its management students on 11 August 2026 at the 0.8 Auditorium. The session, titled “Campus to Corporate: Building Employability and Leadership Skills,” was conducted with the objective of preparing students for a successful transition from academic life to the corporate world.

The session featured Mr. Vivian Biswas, Group Head – Human Resources and HR Thought Leader, SF Dyes, as the esteemed guest speaker. Drawing from his professional experience, Mr. Biswas provided students with valuable insights into the expectations of modern organizations and the competencies required to build a successful career.

The session highlighted the significance of employability skills, effective communication, adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving, confidence, and leadership in navigating the corporate environment. The engaging interaction encouraged students to develop a professional mindset and understand how they can effectively translate their academic learning into workplace competencies.
