NMITD Participates in the 10 Crore Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign
DES’s Navinchandra Mehta Institute of Technology & Development (NMITD) was delighted to welcome the Brahma Kumaris for the Addiction-Free Pledge Campaign, organized under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and Mission SPANDAN.
The campaign was part of the 10 Crore Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign, being conducted from 6 to 20 August 2026, with the vision of creating awareness about the harmful effects of addiction and encouraging citizens to adopt a healthy and positive lifestyle. The initiative carries the powerful message of taking a collective step towards building a Viksit Bharat and an addiction-free India.
On Monday, 17 August 2026, at 1:30 PM, students and faculty members of NMITD participated in the Addiction-Free Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to saying YES to Life and NO to Addiction. The pledge encouraged participants to make healthy, responsible and positive choices and to spread awareness about the physical, emotional, social and financial consequences of addiction.
The campaign also emphasized the importance of youth empowerment, responsible citizenship and collective action in creating a healthier and stronger society. Through such meaningful initiatives, NMITD continues to promote student well-being, social responsibility and the values essential for building a progressive and Viksit Bharat.
