DES’s NMITD Conducts Master Class on Decode Commodities
The Department of MMS at DES’s Navinchandra Mehta Institute of Technology & Development (NMITD) successfully conducted an insightful Master Class on Decode Commodities for MMS students on 21st August 2026 at Venue E-15.
The session was conducted by Ms. Soniya Mashelkar, SEBI Securities Market Trainer, who provided students with valuable insights into the world of commodity markets and their role in the financial ecosystem.
The master class covered important aspects of commodity markets, with a focus on commodities such as gold, silver, crude oil, and agricultural commodities. The session helped students understand how commodity markets function and provided clarity on the key differences between speculation and investment.
The interactive session enabled students to connect theoretical concepts with practical aspects of financial markets and enhanced their understanding of commodity trading and investment perspectives.
A post-session test was also conducted to assess students’ understanding of the concepts covered during the session. Students were further provided with a certificate of participation in recognition of their involvement.
The session proved to be an enriching learning experience for the MMS students, equipping them with valuable knowledge about commodity markets and informed financial decision-making.
